Blue LED attraction

Six through-hole blue LEDs provide the attraction light for the trap enclosure.

Transformer-driven high voltage

A D882 transistor drives the custom step-up transformer, followed by a high-voltage diode and capacitor network for the protected grid.

Power options

The design includes a Micro-USB 5V input and separate 7.4V battery nets. Final wiring and charging arrangements must follow the published schematic.

High-voltage components

The BOM specifies 2 kV and 3 kV capacitors plus RFC3K-3000V rectifier diodes for the multiplier section.

Manufacturing files

The archive contains OrCAD schematics, Allegro PCB sources, BOM spreadsheets, Gerber artwork, drill data and board-outline DXF files.

Verified PCB database

The final mosquito_killerv4 board report records zero DRC errors and zero database errors.

Board construction

The fabrication note specifies a 1.0 mm single-layer FR4 board with OSP or HASL surface finish.

Project status

The hardware design is complete. Electrical output voltage, attraction performance and enclosure safety still require documented validation before general use.

Safety Warning

Dangerous high voltage

This circuit can generate a hazardous electric potential after power is removed. It must only be assembled and tested by people experienced with high-voltage electronics. Use a fully insulated, finger-safe enclosure, discharge the high-voltage capacitors before handling, and keep the device away from children, pets, moisture and flammable materials.
